My fatherā¦ We didnāt get along. Frankly, there were times when I downright hated his guts. We never resolved things. This is the first year Iāll be older than he was when he died. But Iād give years off my own life if we could have one more argument. So, my plan was to finish this mission, then sit in a fishing cabin on Setlik IIās ice moon, bring a good bottle of whiskey and have that talk.

I donāt know if this is particularly recognizable anymore, considering it would be absolutely wild for this screen to appear when playing a digital download of the game, but I played the OG version of this game on my dadās ancient computer that had multiple discs and required you to switch them out when trying to get into the boiler room. That is my core memory of this game, so I had to memorialize it! This was one of the first I played, and I remember the puzzles being terribly difficult and I kept thinking I had missed clues in the boiler room so I went in an unnecessary number of times. I personally enjoyed the remastered version as well, I felt like it did a good job of updating but also honoring the legacy of the game that started it all.
Also featured are a few of my Nancy Drew books, original editions from 1930! These have been passed down from my grandma to my mom to me, and my collection is one of my most prized possessions š

I swear to God thereās a whole swath of people in the US who will not REST until weāre all charged by the minute for the water we drink, the air we breathe, and every blink we take.
Stop coming for the USPS. Not only is it self-funded as mentioned above, but āitās not profitableā should NEVER be an argument against services that support basic needs. We should be working toward making things like public transit, healthcare, utilities, etc. entirely free-to-use via government funding, not arguing to whittle things down for not being Amazon-esque-enough.
wanda can’t die she has to be rejected by thessaly because thessaly still needs to be a bitch for the kindly ones to happen but then the storm comes and wanda having no choice attempts to do moon magic to save everyone and (this is not immediately shown) it fucking works because she is what she is but the apartment gets destroyed so they mistake georgie’s body for hers and buries that instead and barbie still draws a veil at the funeral to (initially unknown to the audience) feed the illusion that wanda’s dead so she will have absolutely no reason to come into contact with her family again and wanda emerges from the trees and crosses out her deadname with tacky flamingo herself and there’s a flashback of her wading through the rubble with barbie waking in her arms and she explains to the girls how she saved everyone and we see the cut of her powerful magic taking full and perfect effect and fox and hazel charge in for a weepy group hug and thessaly just very awkwardly watches them fuming from being proven wrong and alone and then it’s back to wanda and barbie riding off into the sunset and barbie still dreams of death but she wakes up and wanda’s still there and she realizes the part of wanda that died was the one that had always been scared and now wanda is freer than the cuckoo herself and they find an apartment to share with the lady who’s scared of dogs and they have dinner with rose’s family every sunday and babysit daniel and go to fox’s shows and are godmothers to alfie. also they kiss with tongue.
I must not buy. Buying is the purse-killer. Buying is the little-dopamine that brings total bankruptcy. I will face my wishlist. I will permit the limited time sale to pass over me and through me.
